Computer Centre
NIHFW has Computer Centre with facilities for data analysis, programming and Computer Assisted Learning (CAL). The institute has established Campus Wide Area Network and computerising different units in the Institute. Four powerful servers are hosted in the computer centre connecting 250 PCs in the campus. Internet connectivity is also provided to Faculty, Research and Administrative staff through 2 MBPS MTNL leased line. The functioning of academic cell, administration, finance, hospital, hostel, library, stores etc. is fully computerised under the initiatives taken by the computer center.
The office automation and egovernance software are widely used in the institute. The Computer Centre has a well-equipped computer lab for teaching/training purpose. Computer training is provided to staff, MD/DHA students and participants of various courses. Computer Centre also organises `Short Course on Epidemiological and Biomedical Data Analysis using Statistical Software'. The Centre is also organising training programmes such as Computer Applications in Health & Family Welfare Management. The Centre is working on web-based training programmes.
RBM Clinic Activities
OPD timings are from 9.00 A.M to 1.00 P.M on all working days. Registration of cases is done from 9.00A.M. to 12.00 noon from Monday to Friday, and from 2.00 P.M. to 4.00 P.M. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Diagnostic facilities are available for Patients registered in clinic. Certain routine investigations are free of cost. However, certain specialised investigations are done at nominal cost.
Reports of investigations will be made available in the shortest possible time, in most cases within a day. However reports for some specialised investigations may be given as per appointment.
PHARMACY:
• Medicines available are provided free of cost to those who cannot afford to buy them (non-CGHS, Non-ESI beneficiaries).
• Pharmacy timings are the same as the OPD timings.
Laboratory Services
The Department of Reproductive Bio-Medicine has a very specialised laboratory infrastructure for carrying out experimentation in the areas of immunobiology, molecular biology, cell culture, immunodiagnostics, and assisted reproduction techniques. The various specialised laboratories are as follows:
• Immunology Laboratory - The laboratory deals with research projects on sperm antibodies, isolation and purification of sperm antigens etc.
• Laboratory for sperm function and assisted reproduction techniques - Different sperm function tests and experiments on assisted reproduction are researched here to develop a better method for a future use in the reproductive clinic.
• Preparatory laboratory for electron microscopy - The facilities needed for processing tissue samples for electron microscopy both for SEM and TEM are all available which is usually time consuming and needs to be prepared carefully for better resolution in the electro microscope.
• Laboratory for EIA and RIA - For setting up and developing EIA and RIA for steroid and protein hormones specialized laboratory set-up with counters and ELISA readers are available. Iodination facility duly approved by BARC has been functioning for a long time and because of which estimation of reproductive hormones in laboratory rodent species for research purposes could be carried out with better specificity.
• Laboratory for cytogenetic studies - Analysis of chromosomes following lymphocyte of chromosomes in relation to primary or secondary infertility inpatients. This is routinely being carried out in this laboratory.
• Laboratory for plant extraction and analysis - Extraction of active ingredients from plants has been standardised in order to find out their efficacy as a spermicidal or other properties to be used a contraceptive in male or female.
Adolescents and Youth Clinic
Adolescents and youth have special needs. They require guidance and help for adoption of healthy life style. They invariably enter into heterosexual and homosexual relationship out of a choice or under peer pressure. This lands them into difficult situations. The increasing incidence of unwanted pregnancy, reproductive tract infections and sexually transmitted infections should be prevented. Young people can seek right and timely advice for healthy growth and personality development. Proper health education and counseling for adolescents and youth can help them make `right choices'.
This clinic provides a friendly environment in which information, counseling and other services related to reproductive health of adolescent and youth are provided.
Menopause Clinic
Menopause Clinic at NIHFW aims to assess the reproductive health needs in mid life years of women. Information on reproductive health in perimenopausal and menopausal women shall be provided. The preventive health care programme will address reproductive health issues of cancer screening, maintenance of mental well-being and sexuality and prevention of osteoporosis. Menopausal Clinic will provide an environment for women to have a sense of personal choice in dealing with menopausal problems.
