Publishes papers of scientific and educational interest. The scope of the journal covers original contributions on health services administration, family planning, demography, social science, communication, bio-medical sciences in family planning and allied been published anywhere else. Manuscripts are critically reviewed by the Editorial Advisory Board of the journal and other subject specialists. Authors are given the benefit of comments, whenever necessary. Acceptance for the paper for publication is based on the originality of the work or ideas discussed, and clarity of presentation. Published papers represent the opinion of the authors and do not reflect the views or the policy of the institute. Text material can be reproduced with due acknowledgement.
   
Manuscript:
   
 
The Manuscript should be computer-typed in double space on one side of a-4 size paper with wide margins strictly not exceeding 20 pages.The paper should be precisely written as per the format of the journal with a sort and clear title.The title of the paper and name , institutional affilation, full postal address of the author(s) and running should be given in a separate sheet. An abstract of 150 to 200 words should appear at the paper immedeatly after the title followed by four or five keywords. The institute reserves the right to make necessary editorial changes. The paper shoud be sent in triplicate along with a brand-new floppy /CD carrying the paper including the tables in MS Word format only(Font type: Arial Narrow, Font Size: 12)with the title of the paper inscribed on the floppy /CD. No paper will be accepted through Email attachments. However, communications may be sent at the Email address- editor.nihfw@nic.in or editor@nihfw.org. PAPERS NOT IN THE FORMAT OF HPPI, SHALL NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR PUBLICATION.

Illustrations and Tables:
   
 
Illustrations/tables should be preceded by the text containing the matter mentioned in the Illustrations/tables.Legends should be typed on the same sheet of table. The no. of illustrations should not be more than seven and tables should not exceed eight.Figured should be refered to in the text as Figure2,Figure5,using Arabic numbers. Illustrations/tables should be drawn in the black and white only with in the print area of the journal i.e. 5"*7.5". Labelling of the figures shall be relettered by the Editor to conform to a uniform style, whenever necessary.
   
References:
   
 
The paper shouldn't be submitted without references but the number of references shouldn't exceed 25. All the references should be cited in superscript in a numerical consecutive order in the text. The reference list should also be arranged in the same order. References not reflected in the text should not be included on the list of references and vice-versa.The order of references should start with the sumame the title of the paper/book, the name of the publisher in italic case, place of publication, Vol. number and, first and last page numbers as shown below. Care should be taken to quote the source and page number where the article appears in periodical, or from where the statement has been quoted.
