The Governing Body(GB) is the apex policy making body for
NIHFW. It comprises of Minister of Health and Family
Welfare, Government of India, New Delhi (Chairman) ;
Secretary (FW), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare,
Government of India, New Delhi (Vice-Chairman);
Additional Secretary (Health), Ministry of Health and
Family Welfare, Government of India, New Delhi (Member);
Director General of Health Services, Government of
India, New Delhi (Member); Joint Secretary (Dealing with
NIHFW), Ministry of Health and Family Welfare,
Government of India, New Delhi (Member); Joint Secretary
(Financial Advisor), Ministry of Health and Family
Welfare, Government of India, New Delhi (Member);
Director General, Indian Council of Medical Research,
Ansari Nagar, New Delhi (Member); Director , All India
Institute of Medical Sciences, Ansari Nagar, New Delhi
(Member); Director, International Institute for
Population Sciences, Govandi Station Road, Deonar,
Mumbai (Member); seven members to be nominated by
Chairman; Director, National Institute of Health and
Family Welfare, Munirka, New Delhi acts as
member-Secretary.

Standing Financing
Committee(SFC)
reviews and
approves finances for NIHFW and is comprised of
Secretary (Family Welfare), Ministry of Health and
Family Welfare, Govt. of India, New Delhi; Director
General of Health Services Ministry of Health and Family
Welfare, Govt. of India, New Delhi; Joint Secretary
(Financial Advisor), Ministry of Health and Family
Welfare, New Delhi, with Director, NIHFW as
Member-Secretary.

Programme
Advisory Committee (PAC): The objective of the Programme Advisory
Committee is to formulate broad guidelines for the ongoing and
proposed Research and Training activities of the Institute and to
provide suitable advise and guidance for the improvement of the
programmes of the institute.
One
representative from MOHFW/Office of DGHS, ICMR, ICSSR/Institute of
Mass Communication, IIPS, CTIs /HFWTCS, One Secretary Health of a
State Government and two Directors of Health Services are nominated
as member of PAC by Chairman/Alternate Vice Chairman of Governing
Body of the Institute. Besides two members of the Governing Body are
also nominated. Two members of faculty are nominated directly by
Director, NIHFW. Director, NIHFW serves as Member Secretary of
Pragramme Advisory Committee. The tenure of the Chairman and the
nominated members will be of three years.
